Common Ground Parenting NZ records what happened on the platform and when. It does not determine whether a caregiver’s statement is true, does not independently verify caregiver-entered information, and does not claim its records or PDF exports are court-approved or admissible evidence.

Parents choose a date range — updates, requests, calendar changes, handovers, health and more — and generate a structured PDF of that history to organise or provide to a professional when required.

Common Ground Parenting NZ can assist families where communication must remain limited, structured and clearly documented, including with court orders in place. It does not override a Protection Order, Parenting Order, bail condition or any other legal restriction — parents must only use it where, and in the manner, legally permitted.

The platform deliberately avoids features that could be used to monitor, pressure or prolong engagement between households.

A family can grant an authorised professional controlled read-only access to its shared information. The family decides who is granted access and for how long — access is never granted silently or automatically.

Professional accounts are separate from parent accounts. A dedicated portal lists only the families that have explicitly granted access, showing their authorised records, calendar, documents, permitted PDF reports and the access expiry date. Every grant is created by the family and enforced by strict permission controls.

Family data is separated and enforced at the database level, professional access is explicit, read-only and time-limited, and families can export their own information at any time.

Download a neutral information sheet to give to a family, or one written for colleagues. Each sheet covers what Common Ground Parenting NZ is, what it does, that it is free for parents, the website address and basic setup instructions — with a QR code for quick access. Families are never enrolled or contacted automatically; sharing the sheet is entirely at the professional’s discretion.
